Implementation Doctorate
Combining science with implementation in practice.

About the programme
The implementation doctorate is a Ministry of Science and Higher Education programme supporting the preparation of doctoral dissertations whose results have direct application in the activities of organisations employing doctoral candidates.
The programme combines academic research with practical implementation – the doctoral candidate conducts research at the university while simultaneously developing a solution in collaboration with an industrial partner.
Our project – competition results
The project was submitted to the national competition under the MNiSW “Implementation Doctorate” programme. Following the appeal review, the application received:
The appeal story
"We disagreed with the comments. Our project is large, complex, interdisciplinary. [...] We appealed, though nobody believed the committee at MNiSW would review it again. But it turned out our arguments were taken on board. [...] This time it received 98 points out of 100 and moved from 225th place to fifth."
Aim of the doctorate
The primary aim of the implementation doctorate is to develop an IT solution in which the process of assessing a child's health status is digital. This is intended to enable:
- Training of medical specialists on realistic clinical cases (Kid AID Coach)
- Development of tools supporting clinical decisions based on objective data (decision-support module, after validation)
The initial focus is on the educational function – training doctors in the assessment of the general condition of infants and young children.
